PINEAPPLE BOWL SHRIMP

March 19, 2012

A pineapple bowl is very practical great for a dramatic and impressive food presentation.

PINEAPPLE BOWL SHRIMP
Makes 2 servings

1 pineapple
1/2 pound of shrimp
1 and 1/2 cups rice
5 green onions, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup red pepper, diced
Soy sauce
Cilantro

Prepare rice according to package directions and set aside. Slice pineapple in half vertically. Hollow both halves to make two bowls. This will be effortless and beautiful tricky. I used a large spoon and knife and it got the job done pretty well.

Remove tails of shrimp and saute in a skillet on high heat for about 2 minutes. Add garlic, green onion, red peppers and diced pineapple to shrimps. (Use the pineapple hollowed out from bowls). Continue to saute for about 5-7 minutes.

Add rice and cook for 2 more minutes, mixing well.

Spoon into pineapple bowls and serve. Add soy sauce and garnish with cilantro.
