SPICY SHRIMP MARINADE

June 8, 2012

Okay so here is a shrimp marinade. It kind of is calling for the shrimp to be grilled BUT THAT IS FLEXIBLE if it is not an important thing to you. (It just speaks to me in a grilled way.) Grilled shrimp makes me think of warm weather with our friends the summer we were newlyweds after we got married. On the topic of shrimp, I am a little obsessive about shrimp being well cleaned. I kind of have to do it in house because most restaurants don’t do it very well.

So I don’t order it at restaurants. Once you notice it’s hard to unnotice and go back.

Spicy Shrimp Marinade
Serves four

1 pound raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
4 garlic cloves, minced
2 tablespoons brown sugar
3 tablespoons parsley, chopped
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Combine ingredients in a plastic bag. Marinade shrimp in for at least half an hour or up to a day.

I love this recipe but noticed it changed. I know there used to be soy sauce. Do you still have the old recipe? Thanks for the great recipes!
