apple & brie pastries

June 14, 2012 · 0 comments

I ate 3 of these today, so we could say I had it for breakfast, brunch, and lunch.

Apple & Brie Pastries
Makes 8 pastries

2 sheets puff pastry
1 apple
4 ounces Brie cheese
Cinnamon sugar
1 egg

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Allow box of puff pastry to thaw for about 20-30 minutes. Meanwhile, cut apple into thin slices. Divide Brie into 8 equal chunks. Slice each sheet of pastry into four squares.

Add slice of cheese and apple pieces to the center of pastry square. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Whisk egg and use as “glue” to seal pastry corners.

Arrange on a cookie sheet and bake for 20 minutes. Might I suggest adding some powdered sugar?
