the reception

There’s no doubt about it, our reception was a big celebration. You know that prolonged awkwardness at a reception when no one is really sure if they’re going to dance? I think that lasted for about 20 seconds into Kanye West’s “Gold Digger” before the dance floor was packed from start to finish. We have to give it up to our friends and family; they know how to party.

First came the bridal party’s grand entrance. Perhaps the most memorable part being Tyler and Joel’s tom-foolery. Look at the shock in Joel’s eyes when he realized he’d lost his dance partner. Where’s his Oscar?

After dinner was finished and the bridal party had just completed their formal number, there was a slight lull when Matt, our DJ, wasn’t sure what he was supposed to play next. A silence hushed over the masses. In easily my most un-bridal moment of the day, I scarcely recall yelling “PLAY A CLUB BANGER.” There was no turning back.

If you’re just getting here, the party’s already started. Head over and read about theĀ Ceremony and Pre-Ceremony.
