Like every other family in America, we have pizza night. Sometimes it’s just the pre-made, frozen deal, but other times I like to jazz it up and really impress the husband.
Pizza Puff Pastry
Serves 2-3
1 puff pastry sheet
1 egg
1 tablespoon water
1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Tomato sauce
Fresh mozzarella
Additional toppings
Oregano
Thaw pastry sheet at room temperature for about 40 minutes or until easy to handle. Heat oven to 400 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Sitr egg, water, parmesan, and garlic powder in a small bowl until well combined. Unfold pastry sheet onto baking sheet and brush with egg mixture.
Bake in oven for 10 minutes. Remove pastry and spread sauce, mozzarella, and your choice of additional toppings.
Sprinkle with oregano and return to oven for about 5 minutes, or until cheese is melty.
