We’ve started a little moving game. Get rid of 100 things.
Maybe that sounds like a lot. But it’s the perfect amount for us so that it is a challenge, but still atainable. And it goes along just perfectly with our downsize mentality. Maybe in the (distant) future when we have more stuff, a goal like 1,000 things would be more fitting.
I’ve loved it. I recommend it. Dave and I both got really into it. Our discarded items range from a TV to a bundle of unused paint sticks. We move Saturday and so far have gotten rid of 93 things. Only 7 more! We can do this.

Rachel,
I’ve been reading your sweet blog for almost a month now so I decided it was time to finally stop being a creeper and just say hi. I so enjoy reading your short and simple posts and have been extremely encouraged by all of your wedding posts. But especially that one about what a wedding is all about. It really reaffirmed my need to put everything into perspective. Preparation for marriage is much greater than preparation for the actual event.
I have also been trying lots of your recipes. They’re perfect. Not overly complicated – but not too basic either.
So…thank you for sharing your life with the blogging world.
I truly appreciate it! :)
And I know I could definitely stand to get rid of a few hundred things!
I’m so glad you wrote! Haha, no creepiness! Thank you for reading and the encouragement.
