SECRET INGREDIENT CROCK POT BBQ

March 9, 2013

Alright, this won’t be a secret for too long. But, I can still call it a surprise ingredient. And I will now impart to you my go-to crock pot recipe for a good sandwich. (Extra sauce, please.) What is the secret ingredient that adds a little something you weren’t expecting? Why, it is cherry coke. Pour it right on into your slow cooker. Have you tried this with meats before? Using a cola to cook it in. Interesting. Do you drink the cola with the meal too?

Looks great and easy. I make a London Broil the same way. I pour a can of coke over the meat and drain after meat is tender and then add your favorite BBQ sauce and pepper flakes if you like it a little hot! I will defiantly be making this on a football day. Thanks for sharing!

My husband is a diabetic and I have been making this version for years without the brown sugar, I use diet coke and the lowest sugar content that I can find and it is very good.
