THE BIG LIST OF OUR FAVORITE BOARD BOOKS

November 30, 2017

As the caretaker of the younglings, I am often asked to read books on repeat, usually back to back. Which is cute and fun the kids have their favorites they love, but because of this, I try to only buy books that I like. That means good content (in some way) and hopefully are beautiful to look at/be cluttered across the floor since all of us are going to be seeing them a lot. My bent is toward classic, vintage-y styles.

Because board books are so inexpensive, I don’t bother checking them out from the library and just buy. (Also in my experience libraries rarely carry many.) And with the reality of what age they are aimed for, this saves me from worrying about wear and tear. I just love board books. I like to have lots so we have many options and it stays fresh for reader-mom. When given the option between them and paper pages, I ALWAYS PICK BOARD.

THE BIG LIST OF OUR FAVORITE BOARD BOOKS

Books together is probably my favorite thing to do with our kids (with snuggling!) and listening to someone read aloud is excellent for their minds.

Most of these books ARE UNDER $9, several much less, and all are under $11. Books feel much better to spend money on than plastic junk toys and real talk, they are the only thing I am doing for gifts for christmas this year.
