Christmas is my wonderful, adorable, strong, kind, and brave husband’s favorite holiday. So. I feel like I really wanted to start our first holiday season together out with a bang.

As a kid, I love love loved getting those little plastic advent calendars with a small piece of chocolate. But, thanks to pinterest/my husband’s knack for Christmas traditions, I have created an experiential Christmas advent. A huge upgrade from just chocolates and little trinkets, in my humble opinion. (Although kids probably still dig the candy.)

Stay tuned for the list of our advent events, but I can’t spill all the secret details just yet because it’s a big surprise for the man of the house. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yay.

I feel like all this sneaking has already paid off because last night I told Dave I’ve been doing some elfing and he said I am “so elfin’ cute.”

Looking forward to seeing your list of advent activities…next year my husband and I will be empty nesters and we may be keenly feeling the difference in the holidays until our kids come home from school. This would be a nice way to celebrate advent together!
