Guys this is really simple but something you just need to know about. Just take a brownie batter. Even a storebosugh mix is fine for this (of course). Pour in some of the batter into a greased pan. LAYER IN SOME YORK PEPPERMINT PATTIES. Pour the rest of the batter on top. Bake it. You now very easily have peppermint brownies. This concept is pretty boundless when I start thinking of other candies you could do this with.
I mean reese’s?? That would be a natural next try.
PEPPERMINT BROWNIES
Makes 24 brownies
1 batch really good brownies
24(ish) peppermint patties
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Prepare batter according to package instructions. Pour a little less than half of batter into a greased 9×13 baking dish. Arrange peppermint patties. Pour remaining batter over peppermint, so that none are visible. Bake for 25 minutes.
Allow to cool (completely!) before slicing. If your oven runs hot (mine does), take care that the peppermints don’t rise and explode out the top. Setting the oven temperature slightly below 325 degrees will prevent this.
