FRUIT CAKE (BUT NOT LIKE YOU’RE THINKING)

July 14, 2013

At least at my middle school, there was a phase where getting called a “fruit cake” was the worst insult to have thrown at you. (Did other people of my generation have this? David says his school most def did not.) Middle school. Just so weird.

I’ve never tried the fruit cake that gets served around the holidays, maybe because people hate on it, I just assumed I wouldn’t like it. I’m also not really sure why I’m talking about it, because this fruit, space, cake is not at all like fruit-cake.

I just may be ordering this up for my next birthday, should I choose to be less refined sugar-y but still super scrumptious-y.
