How’s the unwind from Christmas coming along? Our Christmas day was easily my best ever. And David hit a home run with surprises. All I wanted was clothes, so we agreed my gift would be him taking me on a shopping trip. I had two small gifts under the tree and imagined he was just being thoughtful to let me have something to open up that morning. I unwrapped the first gift and it was Phase 10. We need more two player games for just us. A sweet, small gift. On par with what I was expecting for these presents. I loved it.
I unwrapped the second gift and screamed at a brand new camera lens. (This is the one, to be specific.) Later I also screamed (smiling), “YOU WENT OVER BUDGET!” I was expecting something more along the lines of a three pack of dentyne ice.
For that and many more reasons, (all of which have to do with Jesus and David) my Christmas was a 10/10. As for what I got him? A vinyl record player. I think he was pleased! And I’ve been loving the sound of that thing all week while whipping up this frosting, among other things. (Although I promise this was not a get-someone-a-gift-that’s-really-for-you scenario!)
