AVOCADO BUTTERCREAM FROSTING

June 23, 2016

File this under crazy things that totally work. It is the hearty sweetness of a perfect buttercream with something cool and foodie like chocolate and avocado.

Not only can you try this, you want to try this. Top it off with a blackberry too.

Just made this, I used unsalted butter, one cup previously mashed avocado (mashed a day before for some reason), organic powdered sugar(from Whole Foods), Himalayan salt, and plant based milk. Honestly I’m testing out three avocado buttercream frostings for a birthday cake I’m making. This is the first recipe I have attempted and it came out great! Anyone know how long it will last I never the fridge and any tips on how to get the avocado cream to become stiffer?

  • I really have to try this frosting!
