THINKING ABOUT THE WINTER OF 2019

December 23, 2019

This post is part of a series I do to write important things I need to tell you about and a mix of homemaker stuff. And let’s be honest, sometimes popular culture because I am I think going to always be someone who engages with “the arts” AND I HAVE THOUGHTS. I love doing things by the seasons, so I share one that often. There are some re-occuring categories such as: “all is vanity,” “a follow,” “into it!,” “prime-able,” “a cry for help,” and “I am not tech-y, but.”

foodstuffs: as a person of the internet age, i used to say i didn’t “get” cookbooks, but lately I am really into them! cookbooks out there (the good ones) are going to often have more strength of recipe development than lots of stuff online. I read so many in the past month or two since this phase started. this old one is top tier and I think her best one.

all is vanity: i’ve shared about this before, but this hand cream david and I continually reach for all winter gets us through!

guy presents: put these hot sauces in david’s stocking last year and you could say he strongly requested it again.

a follow: @hotpinkpineapples is a recently discovered instagram and I loved this curved millwork she sourced! there’s details about it saved in her highlights I believe.

menus: should you make this for new year’s eve?

pretty utilitarian things!: an unoffensive looking sippy cup!

netflix-ing: huge update for this reoccurring category, but WE CANCELLED NETFLIX for disney+. I think (at least so far) that if you do streaming mostly for kids, disney+ is better. Also stuff you get on amazon with prime made netflix redundant for us.

amazon prime: favorite christmas candle. still not too late to get it for Christmas with prime.
