FOURTH OF JULY FIREWORKS CRAFT

July 4, 2020
Rachel Schultz

This is a quick one that is easy to pull together something fun and seasonal for a little extra july or memorial day treat. The materials are simple and all things we generally keep around. For colors I did red, white, and blue, but lots of variations would be cute and nice for anytime during summer. When using the stamps (made of straws!) sometimes you may need to do a little pressing with your hands to help the straws pick up and transfer the paint.

We use a different straw stamp for each color to help them not mix, so that was fifteen straws all together. But you could mix colors and use one stamp too.

MATERIALS

  1. black paper
  2. red, white, and blue paint
  3. fifteen bendable straws
  4. tape

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Bend straws. Position straws into a five point stair orientation. Tape straws together.
  2. Stamp straws into one paint color and press onto black paper.
  3. Using a new straw stamp, paint the next color.
  4. Repeat with remaining color(s).

I found about three or four fireworks worked for an 8 x 10 piece of paper. Happy fourth of july!!
