HOMEMADE HAMBURGER BUNS

Ingredients
  • 2 and ½ teaspoons yeast
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 eggs, divided
  • 3 and ½ cups flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • Sesame seeds
Instructions
  1. Stir together yeast, water, and sugar. Let sit for 15 minutes.
  2. In a stand mixer, combine yeast mixture with 1 e.g.,, flour, salt, and butter. Knead dough for 5 minutes.
  3. Place dough in bowl and cover with a cloth. Allow to rise for two hours.
  4. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  5. Divide dough into eight rounded disks and place on a parchment lined baking sheet.
  6. Whisk together 1 egg with milk. Brush egg wash over tops of buns. Top with sesame seeds.
  7. Bake for 17-19 minutes.
