HOMEMADE HAMBURGER BUNS
- 2 and ½ teaspoons yeast
- 1 cup warm water
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 eggs, divided
- 3 and ½ cups flour
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon milk
- Sesame seeds
- Stir together yeast, water, and sugar. Let sit for 15 minutes.
- In a stand mixer, combine yeast mixture with 1 e.g.,, flour, salt, and butter. Knead dough for 5 minutes.
- Place dough in bowl and cover with a cloth. Allow to rise for two hours.
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Divide dough into eight rounded disks and place on a parchment lined baking sheet.
- Whisk together 1 egg with milk. Brush egg wash over tops of buns. Top with sesame seeds.
- Bake for 17-19 minutes.
