crispy panko-topped baked onions

Ingredients
  • 3 sweet onions
  • ¼ cup panko
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 teaspons thyme
  • Salt & pepper
  • Cooking spray
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Peel and remove ends from onions.
  3. Slice in half. Arrange halves in a 9x13 baking dish lined with aluminum foil.
  4. Spray each side with cooking spray and season with salt & pepper.
  5. With smaller ends facing up, bake for 40 minutes, or until slightly golden.
  6. Meanwhile, mix together panko, butter, and thyme.
  7. Remove onions from oven. Flip and top with panko spread. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
