crispy panko-topped baked onions

Serves: 5-6
- 3 sweet onions
- ¼ cup panko
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 2 teaspons thyme
- Salt & pepper
- Cooking spray
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Peel and remove ends from onions.
- Slice in half. Arrange halves in a 9x13 baking dish lined with aluminum foil.
- Spray each side with cooking spray and season with salt & pepper.
- With smaller ends facing up, bake for 40 minutes, or until slightly golden.
- Meanwhile, mix together panko, butter, and thyme.
- Remove onions from oven. Flip and top with panko spread. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
