PIZZA PUFF PASTRY

- 2 puff pastry sheets, thawed
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ¾ cup pizza sauce
- 2 ounces fresh mozzarella, sliced
- Additional toppings
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Score a one inch perimeter around each pastry, without slicing completely through.
- Whisk egg with 1 tablespoon water and garlic powder. Brush egg mixture over scored area.
- Poke fork holes into center, non-scored area.
- Bake in oven for 12 minutes.
- Remove pastry and press down center. Spread sauce, mozzarella, and your choice of additional toppings over middle.
- Bake for 8 more minutes.
