I am not sure what it is exactly. But guys just go crazy for a good slider or sub sorts of things IN MY EXPERIENCE. Has anyone else noticed this? Take my husband for example. You could we’d agree, consider him the jock-type. And if he just got home from playing football, and I am casually like, “oh hey, did not see you there, I made these pork sliders, no big deal or anything, want one?” He does NOT hold back his excitement as he grabs one. Or five.
And even as a girl I think these are pretty super yummy.
BALSAMIC & HONEY PULLED PORK MEGA SLIDERS
Serves 15 big sliders
2 pounds porkloin
1 yellow onion, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
1 teaspoon rosemary
1 cup balsamic vinegar
3/4 cup ketchup
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup honey
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon dijon mustard
1 clove garlic, minced
20 slider buns
Salt & pepper
Place porkloin, onion, green pepper, and rosemary into slow cooker and cook on high for 4-5 hours. Meanwhile, bring vinegar, ketchup, brown sugar, honey, Worcestershire, dijon, garlic, and salt & pepper to a boil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Reduce heat to low and simmer sauce for 20-25 minutes.
Remove porkloin from slow cooker and shred.
Return to slow cooker with sauce and cook on low for 1 hour.
Serve on slider buns.
