THE MASTER BATHROOM PLANS

December 8, 2015

As I sit down to log this post, I realized I know so little about this room. I have been in there I think three times, and one of them was when we toured the house before we bought it.

I do not go in there.

It is unfair because it is not that bad. The wallpaper is actually better than the pink floral in the kids and guest bathroom. (I do not like it; it is just better.) The deal breaker is the scary carpet. When we moved in, we bought peel and stick tiles so we could replace it right away, even with only a temporary solution. Other projects crowded that to-do item out of the schedule. I think we will complete it in the next few weeks. (Really!)

  1. Remove carpet
  2. Lay temporary peel & stick floor, eventually tile
  3. Strip wallpaper
  4. Paint walls
  5. New mirror
  6. Different counter and sink
  7. Replace shower with jacuzzi tub
  8. Different light fixture (I think? I honestly do not know what it looks like, but I am guessing I will want a different one.)

Now that I have remembered this bathroom, (and that it is quite big!) I want to get our master suite going.

Also, seeing this picture has alerted me that if we are ever out of toilet paper there is still a roll in here from the previous owners.

That’s hilarious– I think I would have a hard time walking into someone else’s old pee carpet. WHO DOES THAT?!
